Frequently asked questions
To make sure your young golfer gets clubs that are just the right size, follow these simple steps:
What You’ll Need:
- A hard wall or doorframe
- A ruler or hardcover book
- A tape measure
- Their golf or athletic shoes
Step-by-Step Instructions:
- Have Your Cub Wear Their Shoes Make sure your child is wearing the shoes they’ll normally wear while playing golf — this ensures the most accurate height measurement.
- Stand Tall Against a Wall Have your child stand straight with their back against a wall or doorframe. Heels should touch the baseboard and feet flat on the ground.
- Mark Their Height Place a ruler or hardcover book flat on top of their head, gently pressing until it meets the wall. Make a small mark where the bottom of the book meets the wall.
- Measure the Distance Use a tape measure to determine the distance from the floor to the mark — this is their height in inches.
- Use Our Sizing Chart Match their height to our club sizing chart to find the best-fitting clubs for your future golf pro.
Tip: Always round up if they’re between sizes — a little room to grow is a good thing!
Cub Golf Sizes:
- Fox 32"-36"
- Panda 36"-40"
- Lion 40"-45"
- Tiger 45"-50"
- Bear 50"-54"
To get the best fit, you’ll want to measure both length and width of your child's glove hand (the hand they wear the glove on. Usually the non-dominant hand).
What You’ll Need:
- A soft measuring tape or string and ruler
- A flat surface
- Pen & paper to note the measurements
Step-by-Step Instructions:
1. Measure the Hand Length
- Have your child stretch their hand out flat with fingers extended (but not spread wide).
- Measure from the tip of the middle finger down to the base of the palm (where the wrist starts).
- Write this number down in inches.
2. Measure the Hand Width
- With the hand still flat, measure across the widest part of the palm — from the outer edge of the index finger knuckle to the outer edge of the pinky knuckle.
- This gives you the hand width in inches.
3. Match to Size Chart
- Use both measurements to find the best-fitting glove size on the chart (e.g. XS, S, M, L).
Pro Tip:
- If your child is in between sizes, choose the larger size for comfort and room to grow.
- A good glove should fit snugly but not tight — like a second skin.
Cubs grow up fast, and the same goes for their golf skills! 🐾 While we often hear about how clubs that are too long and heavy can throw off a junior golfer's swing, it’s just as important to remember that clubs that are too short and light can cause some trouble too. 🦁 Keep measuring your little golfer's height and check the golf club size chart to make sure you’ve got the perfect fit for their swing! 🐻⛳
